This isn't true. Maybe you had a bad experience but their return policy clearly states:
"Entertainment products
Opened physical copies of computer software, movies, music, video games, books, video game guides and sheet music can only be exchanged for an identical item."
I did that for the new Dune movie. I own 2 copies now.

Which is why if possible buy from no questions asked amazon
One disk out of literally dozens i purchased from amazon had a defect- replaced by Amazon in less than 24 hrs.
Well keep a spread sheet,,,which i don't religiously do, but wish i did lol.
