Idk about your specs but if you're asking for recommendations based on visuals, I'd say
The shinning, the thing, and pacific rim all look amazing. If you're just getting into 4ks hop on Google and read 4k reviews, newer movies does not mean they look better.
Seriously pacific rim is probably top 3 for me visually, couldn't believe it when I watched it.
Yeah but with the newer movies, a lot are designed with this in mind. HDR is the big selling point and you take a movie like Wick 4 and compare to Casino, you're going to be much more impressed by the lighting integration with Wick 4 rather than an upscaled film version of an older title.

I know y'all hate time travelers like myself, but a lot of these were a lot cheaper on gruv's ebay store just a week ago. I got dune 4k UHD for $8. If you were planning to build up your collection, maybe wait for a better deal.
at this point probably better to wait until Amazon dumps the rest of their physical stock, which will be prime day

Sucks that WB/Legendary are removing digital from their disc packs.
They are real dicks about the "expired" codes. They give you about 3 months to redeem them and then cut you off. Even movies with no expiration date on the card insert aren't available.

Mad max fury road and Pacific rim are good choices for this sale because they rarely ever go into the 15-20 range.

Also this sale lets you do multiples of the same movie if you wanted to give one as a gift

I can't wait to build my 4k library when all these movies go on super clearance out. So tempting.... But I I can only assume that these will all end up at discount store like big lots or dollar three eventually. I really hate that physical media is disappearing 😢

Just got a Panny 4k player on order. Which 3 discs should I get for dolby vision and atmos?

update with specs: LG C1 and a 5.1.2 Denon.
Tough broad question when you consider design, implementation, quality of equipment, quality of transfer of both PQ & AQ, etc come into play.

Not many movies received a good/reference transfer in both PQ & AQ.
From personal experience the only discs I would call reference in both PQ & AQ(off the top of my head) would be Dune,Titanic,1917 & maybe Blade runner 2049.
This is from a 5.2.4, Oled calibrated display in a dedicated room.

You will find a debate even within that list because all the things I mentioned prior and what is considered good varies from person to person.

Luckily Dune and BR2049 are on this list.

Nice, you don't have to buy only 3. I selected 9 movies and all were discounted.

V for Vendetta
Mad Max Fury Road
Blade
Full Metal Jacket
The Northman
Tenet
Ready Player One
The Goonies
Pan's Labyrinth

All for $11 each. Great deal.

I don't think Amazon is gonna stop selling physical media unless you have heard something we haven't?

Everyone knows about Best Buy. Can you provide a news story that states they are getting out of physical media?

Yep. I never had any issue redeeming codes, even expired ones, until the WB crackdown.
Had a bunch of animated DC blu-rays I had not gotten to, all codes rejected, even ones that had no exp. date.
