TinyCam will work with all RTSP and onvif cameras. It also has surprisingly good support for cameras that use online logins like EZVIZ, Blink and Wyze.

Wyze support is especially nice and TinyCam allows you to 24/7 stream them while using stock Wyze firmware. I posted a whole bunch of TinyCam info previously and the thread has some good info that you might be interested in...
Got the Amazon Fire HD 10 [woot.com] for $25; thanks OP. I find these refurbished Fire tablets useful for repurposing as TinyCam [amazon.com] security camera viewing devices throughout my home.
You can try Fire Toolbox [liliputing.com]. I don't think you can change the OS but you can alter the launcher/look, debloat/remove all the superfluous amazon junk and install the Google Play Store so you can install the Apps there (Much better selection than the Amazon App store).

I just used Fire Toolbox to install Google Play so I'm actually not too experienced in using it though. I tried the debloat features but I was getting random crashes afterward so I just had Fire Toolbox reinstall all the Amazon default apps and everything worked well again.

Interesting, didn't know about this app. Do you know what cameras it works with or at least what cameras do you use it with? Thanks

Anyone know if I can install the QZ Fitness app on these to use for my exercise bike? It would be nice to have a dedicated screen I can just leave on the bike.

Is there any way to un-Amazon or flash custom OS on these now?

These are the 2017 HD 10s, I can't imagine these are going to be that useful. The 2019 was so painful to use before I recycled it. Also the custom roms for that were all terrible.

The 9th generation 8GB Oasis for $80 was sold out (as usual) so instead of getting the 32GB 9th Gen for $100 I ended up with 10th gen 8GB for $120 because of this "Note: This model is EOL and is no longer receiving security updates."

Hope I won't regret it

I did this with Fire HD 8 Plus and it worked quite well. Just make sure to choose the right version of hardware at the startup. Also I chosed duckduckgo as my search engine and the min browser.

just a added note on wyze, do not enable 2 step other wise you will run into issues.. outside of that it works fully and you can control it via tiny cam

Jailbreak is the wrong term. But yes you can upgrade them to Lineage OS 14 and 16. There's a forum on XDA. It's a pain to do and some things dont work like the camera or watching encrypted video like Netflix. Lineage OS 16 is pretty buggy and 14 is Android 9 so still outdated, but both are no longer supported. Flashing the device requires taking it apart and shorting two points and you will need a linux pc or a live usb of linux.
Look for codename "suez" for the 7th gen Fire 10 https://xdaforums.com/c/amazon-fi...d-10.4709/
