These and the version with microphone has been similar price several times but it's definitely worth $10 of you don't abuse it or have a lot of temperature fluctuations becuase the foam disintegrates fast, otherwise Sony makes very decent sounding headphones for casual user. I still have my 20 year old extra bass headphones, I just replaced the ear muffs for $25, and it's back to day one for those $250 headphones.
These are great wired headphones for kids or casual use. They are the only cheap headphones I've found that still actually sound really good. I get them for my kids to use with their iPads and they would last a couple years before the swivel broke.
You aren't going to find significantly better sounding headphones unless you spend like 3-4x as much.

Thanks for info, was wondering how good these would work for my kid's daily elementary school use since they recently lost a pair of bluetooth earbuds.

They are not bluetooth, so as long as their devices have a headphone jack they would be great.

They are perfect for kids. You do need to make sure that the device has a 3.5mm headphone jack since these aren't bluetooth. A lot of phones don't have headphone jacks anymore, although you can usually find a headphone jack adapter.

I agree. I've bought 4 of the between $10-15 each. They have lasted 1-2 years. The only failure has been the cable connected to the ear piece when kids pull stuck cables due to frustration.
