I tried the nylon. Don't personally recommend them. Fiddly in my opinion. A regular silicon one was preferable to me. Nylon takes forever to dry as well.
I've got the descent mk2 and dive several days a week. Anyone use the titanium bands from Ali? Any good?
I used one from Amazon that's identical to some of the Ali vendors that I got for $15. For $15 it's decent, the links seem to actually be titanium, but the clasp and pins are not. The biggest issue is that it's cheaply painted titanium rather than anodized or DLC coated so the paint was wearing off in a few places in less than a week. There were no half-links, and only one micro adjust hole, so getting a perfect fit is impossible. Also like all third-party quickfit bands I've tried from Amazon and Strapsco, the quickfit clasp is not nearly as strong as Garmins. I've had this one pop off my hand with a hard impact and a Strapsco broke on me playing basketball.
Overall, I'd happily pay $15-30 for one from Ali but the current $60+ on Amazon is pushing it.
