Seems to me like someone just stole our Hilton Honors login information. Logging in at https://www.hilton.com still shows me at the lowest tier, not Silver.

Personally I think Hilton has the weakest tier recognition. The breakfast fiasco from last year -- where they took away the free breakfast perk in exchange for a lousy property credit was the last straw for me. I suspect this is largely due to the AMEX Aspire card, which sells top-tier Diamond status for $550.

Generally, rewards programs aside, I think Hilton excels at the lower levels (Hamptons, Homewoods, etc) versus Marriott and Hyatt. Their brands are really consistent, hotels are generally well kept, etc. At the higher levels, think LXR, Curio, Conrad, etc... Hilton almost always disappoints me. The hotels in this range are either really tired, have borderline service, or are new-ish with impressive lobbies but cheap-o rooms that were slapped together.

I went to Hyatt and I haven't looked back. Totally get that doesn't work for everyone given their footprint, but it has worked for me.

Seems legit to me. Navan is a business travel portal service and Eloqua is the marketing firm that provided the perk, both are mentioned in the URL tracking parameters. I guess time will tell

I do about 30, and would 100% recommend staying with Marriott. Aside from Hilton's top tier/showcase properties, I've seen a very noticeable decline in quality and service, especially with Hilton Garden Inn and DoubleTree. In addition, if you depend on reasonably fast internet, Marriott is generally much better. There are still a lot of Hilton properties where the free tier chugs along at 3Mbps, and app-based TV services like Netflix, Prime, Max, etc are simply impossible.

I didn't get it right away when I signed up too. If you read the comments, it seemed it was originally designated for Corporate Guests (Navan) only. However, I contacted them and they changed my status to Silver after a few days. Use the deal link as a reference when you contact them.

I guess I should have also added, when available.

For example, I was in London this past holiday season.

I enjoyed the Hyatt Place one thousand times more than the Double Tree, which in points, was 60k/night compared to 18k/night at the Hyatt.

Traveling through Navan for a 5 night stay, registered my account (already existed), but I still don't have Silver status.

These prices for ANY of the hotels are EXPENSIVE!!! No wonder they're having their people push these deals to Frontpage! These prices are horrible!

Did anybody get their promotion removed? I had Hilton Silver booked a stay then went to book another one and then I was back to Member. And get the run around.
