Idk but when I was buying my carpet at NFM and my floor installer, they both recommended a Dyson as the best vacuum you could buy at the residential level.

Technically no vacuum sold to the public is carpet approved since it needs to be certified by the CRI (carpet and rug institute). They will have a green seal on them. Those vacuums are typically your hotel/commercial ones. Not ideal for a home and as far as I know none of the big brands have some expect Hoover when I was looking. So every vacuum you use in theory would terminate your warranty based on your logic

yeah bought a shark vacuum from costco 10yrs ago abused the crap out of it and it's still going strong zero issues
