Call it marketing but fun with parents is memories created and tends to stick with you. Who cares where it comes from. Win win for both parties for free .

Loved these when my daughter was younger, but note to parents. WHO CARES WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, LET THE KID DO IT.

It was so annoying to see parents literally take over the whole project to make it perfect, while the kid sat and watched.

Had so much fun watching my daughter develop hand-eye coordinator, strength, painting skills, etc. I often ended up with paint up to my elbows as I was the "holder" of items while she painted, but I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.

When it was all said and done, she had nearly 50 "completed" pins!

Despite having the correct store selected in my profile, when I try to register for this, it chooses a store that is in a city more than 2 hours away.

Stores marketing to such young people.
Probably better to let them watch Saturday morning cartoons, not like those are 30 minute informercials dressed up as Ninja Turtles or Paw Patrol Wink

Is there a way to click on the scan in the preview pic without redirecting me to the site? Thumbnail too small to see the rest of the projects

Didn't know Lowe's also has a Kid's workshop. Anyone has experience with it?
My kids love the Lowe's diy workshops too, especially the holidays ones.

what age is appropriate for these workshops? My kid is 3, not sure if he would be too young to enjoy this.

My son is almost 3 and has been doing these for a year now and loves it. He is very into hammering early on but after a few nails he's done and ready to paint, so I quickly finish it and then he paints it and puts the stickers on. He has a ton of fun but is mostly just there for the painting.

Also, side note for everyone, registering does not guarantee a kit. It's on a first come first serve basis and we showed up at 10am for the gingerbread house project last month and they were already out. Either get there early or go to a store that's in an area that doesn't have a huge population of young families.

Where exactly are these workshops staged at?
Varies by store but employees should know.

thanks! I've enjoyed the couple that we've done so far, and I was still able to get into the saturday 'truck' workshop. Lowes' one a few weeks from now was already booked up though, I haven't had luck getting into theirs yet.

Wow, I remember those days, when I used to take my kids the first Saturday of every month to the HD. They used to do different things like bird houses, trucks, etc., which were really nice and fun activities. It's been so long; kids grow up so fast.
