Had a few of the bad ones from the sweet brown butter cashews. It had a weird chalky texture. Don't know how to describe it other than unpleasant.
Thank goodness water is a renewable resource.

Link to the one pound bag for $3.
Didn't think so 😂
So .....not almonds
They build ~2' tall dirt walls around the orchards and let water flood those overnight. By morning the water would be going over the top of the earth dams and flooding the streets.
They pumped so much groundwater that arsenic and nitrates leeched into it, and we couldn't drink it anymore. We had to pay to have river water diverted to homes. $3000 per home.
The only good part was that during a housing boom before 2008, a developer bought a lot of the orchard land, they cut the trees down, and then the developer backed out and had to pay them for the lost trees.
Also, can anyone say how much squirrel is in this? Seems a busy item. Almonds, creme brulee and squirrel.
Many flavored items like nuts and coffee means that the initial item has some sort of problem with taste that they decided to cover up.

Check your facts buddy. Almond cost is between US$ 4.84 and US$ 8.77 per pound(lb). So average is more than double what you posted…
