Yes You just add any of these different versions in the app and they all mesh together
Thanks! Picked up 3 "Router only" one's on Amazon for the same price. They also have the "Point" devices, but there're priced at $150, so happy to get the mesh and 3 routers.
Have used this for 1.5 years, it started out good but have had huge issues lately:
- WiFi drops out regularly, sometimes for a minute, sometimes 10, 15 mins. Dropped packets everywhere. Power cycle router fixes it sometimes but not always. Confirmed it's not the modem/ISP, hardwire to modem is perfectly fine, logs are good.
- We have the 3rd puck / 2nd satellite in our shed 35-40 feet away with only the house and shed walls in between, and it almost never stays connected to the mesh.
In addition to it being very uncustomizable (can only have one main and one guest SSID, really?), and talk of Google not supporting their products in the long run, I think I'm gonna try and return the 3 pack we got from Costco, and upgrade to WiFi 6 with TP-Link or Asus.
I guess it's perfectly fine if you're not a power user and want it to "just work" like many Apple products. The breakdown in reliability is just a deal breaker for me though and not sure why it happened. I admit I will miss asking it cooking related questions since we have a puck in the kitchen (and it is definitely better at googling than Alexa that's for sure).
