If the information I'm seeing is correct this is somehow both significantly smaller than the Blackstone portable griddle, has lower BTUs, and yet somehow 16 pounds heavier. I'm OK with the first two, as I'd love to cut down on bulk camping (and if anything the Blackstone gets hotter than I ever need), but the third is a no go for me.

Edit: It occurs to me BTUs per square inch of cooking surface is probably a more reasonable measure, and making that adjustment gets the Loco close to the Blackstone.

All 3 sizes of the Loco Cookers griddles are on significant sale at Lowes (40% or more.) I love the look and materials these Locos use but some of the reviews have been keeping me on the fence with buying one of the larger models.

If you've never been to Lowes or Home Depot to see these in person you should check them out - much much higher quality build and finish than a Blackstone (for example.)

Does it come with the adapter to plug in the big propane tanks?

I'd be interested in trying one for this price.

I have a big 5 burner griddle but never want to use it unless I have a ton to cook because of the clean up and maintaining the top.

This little one seems like it would be way less of a hassle cleaning and would use it more for small meals.

Blackstone 17" culinary is 29lbs, 12,500btu, 267sq inches. Loco 16" is 37.5lbs, 15,500btu, 37.5lbs, 264sq inches. I suspect the extra weight is the smart temp thing. Mine arrives today, so will check if i Can control without the D batteries. If you choose deliver to home, the website gives you $10 off $20 coupon for next purchase, if you switch to store pickup.
