Additional Thoughts: The box is bulky (+6-ft long) and heavy (132 lb each). You will need a truck to take home and possibly a friend to help load and unload it. I have this scaffold and can highly recommend it.

Good luck and happy deal hunting.

Too wide to fit in my 91 Hyundai Excel? It's a hatchback and the back seats go down.

This thing barely fit in my 19 Explorer with both rows folded down, IIRC. I bought it when it was WAY cheaper (pre-RONA). Can attest to the coupon usage and the durability as this is still in my shop currently holding a set of wheels as a step-platform between my mezzanine for storage and the shop floor.

My coupons are from the mail and the catalog they send out regularly so they are specific to me (one time use only), which is probably why you're not getting a reply. Maybe there's a universal code out there somewhere.

I have Metaltech scaffold (but the version with trapdoors that allow climbing on the inside) and I do recommend it. I will say though, if you plan on stacking even just 1 more, you definitely want the leg extension (outriggers) + guard rails IMO. It's a little wobbly once you stack any and would be terrified if I didn't have either personally.

This might be great for personal use but NEVER stack without rails and make sure you invest in heavy duty locking wheels. It might still be too narrow to stack. Too much risk of injury. As a construction. liability adjuster, I've seen too many injuries. I'm talking in general terms. Buy something already meant for the task at hand or consider renting a lift for a specific job. I realize the cost but your body is worth more.

I've got 3. When I stacked two I juried rigged a few 2x4's to form a triangle for each leg which greatly increased stability. Just pick a bolt size that goes through the holes. Couldn't see spending $150 when a few bolts and scrap 2x4's would do.

I have 5 sections of these, along with a couple of sets of caster outriggers and guard rails. I would have to say that I am generally happy with them, and regularly work indoors on a tower of 3 sections with the outrigger casters (have never tried the railings). Allows me to reach up to 22' effectively and can be rolled around by a helper down below. They have been worked hard and abused by some of my subcontractors, so are even more shaky than when new. I find that ratchet straps placed diagonally can stiffen the tower some. Certainly not as stable as real scaffolding, but very convenient and sufficient for most tasks. I personally wouldn't go more than 3 sections high. Especially on exteriors. I agree with the comment about using them as garage storage racks as well.

I believe this is the same unit that I purchased from Menards a few months back. There was a small but razor sharp shard of metal on one of the cross-members (factory, not shipping damage) that I sliced my hand pretty good during assembly. Contacted mfg., got no response. As others have stated(though I did not stack)this thing is pretty shaky, I purchased a guard rail (generic, from amazon). All that said, it worked well enough for painting my high ceiling, will be using for garage storage(shelving)also.

Code 285114 for $20 off $100. You can't stack coupons. Shipping for me was $51 however by buying the $39.99 membership I got free shipping on the order and I may even find some other things to use the free shipping on over the next year

Can you post a picture? I have multiple sets and am looking to increase stability when they are stacked.

For anyone looking to stack - Get a set of safety railing if you plan to work standing up from the top with these extended. There is no way I would work from the top without it. I've also seen other people comment about using a 3rd set with side rails at 1/2 height and no top floor installed as a safety rail.

I'm curious what size/length outriggers are you using when configured in a 3 stack? (14 inch, 44inch, etc)

I have the 14 inch outriggers I've used with 2 sets stacked and felt perfectly comfortable leaning/working over the sides of the safety railing from the very top. There are times I could use a 3 stack. The instructions call for the 44 inch outriggers in this config, but the 44" outriggers are ridiculously expensive at ~$450+

I've seen one person mention a 3 stack with base plates and no outriggers, but I'm not sure how stable it would be or how comfortable I'd feel leaning over the edges. I suppose if you were setup very close to a wall with slight lean toward the wall, you could use the wall as a safety stop. But I typically use mine inside, center of a room away from walls.

To add stability when working from the top of a 2 stack, I also tried a couple sets of ratchet straps diagonally across the bottom of the legs from just above each caster to the opposite caster. However, I gave up on this as I could see the frame bending due to the leverage it took to get much added stability... maybe I was doing something wrong. I'm open to suggestions.
