I didn't realize how good of a deal I got on the Neo G7 32" 4k for $280 was. Gotta love Samsung sometimes with their checkout nonsense stacking discounts.

I believe Greenworld123 may have been referring to the crazy G7 deal in December. Amazing for those that got lucky! Thread for reference: https://slickdeals.net/f/17119924-samsung-neo-g7-32-4k-epp-edu-ymmv-280

A curved screen only seems to make sense if you're sitting roughly within its radius of curvature.

So what's the point of a remote?

I deplore controls built into monitors. For aesthetic reasons they're hidden away on the side or under, and you have no idea what buttons you're pressing.

This is the answer. It's so hard to use controls on newer monitors. Especially LG with their control knobs.

I just got this monitor about 2 months ago, and it's been amazing. The remote is for the smart features, which I didn't even know the monitor had when I bought it, but it's basically a smart monitor so you can watch apps on it like Netflix, Hulu etc, that are built in. I don't really use those features since well, it's connected to a PC where I have all that anyways lol, but it's an option.

Wow. I wish I hadn't seen this. I've been desperate for a monitor with a good HDR experience that doesn't break the bank at 800 bucks and I totally missed this deal.

It is compatible, but meh imo for that use.

Points:
This is only 1440, and while series x can be set to 1440 it can do up to 4k, especially if you are more into esport type less demanding games.

This is 240hz, but series x is only capable of 120 fps.

Also not bright enough for meaningful HDR if you care about that.

Unless you also want to use this with a 1440 PC, I think this misses the mark for you (although it will work).

Multiple reports of dead pixels, including the one I got that had 10 dead pixels.

10 DEAD PIXELS.

Beautiful screen but not dealing with Samsung return/rebuy or warranty on something that is brand new.

Maybe a bit, but pixel per inch (ppi) will certainly be different (pixels are more obvious) vs 27" ... That is what keeps me away from getting a qhd above 27". 32" 4k curved g-sync 240hz or even 360hz would be amazing ... Next one up, perhaps 38" ultrawide with 4k based resolution (not 3800x1440) or whatever the standard is...
