This has an infrared web cam. What is the use for such a thing?

In the same way you documented the storage interface, please consider updating the original post to note that the RAM is not soldered but rather that the RAM is installled in two (2) SO-DIMM slots.

Good luck!

IDs the laptop in this post better than the one below? Confused which I should pick? Below laptop is much cheaper with upgradable RAM and SSD

These aren't directly comparable. The Dell is a commodity laptop (basically, their cheapest, highest volume platform). The HP Envy is a premium laptop (generally only arguably a step down from their top-of-the-line Spectre). If you're just buying for performance/dollar, don't value the touchscreen/2-in-1 form factor of the HP, and can accept the low-brightness screen and other plastic features of the Dell then the Dell is decent use of $330 (i.e. - it isn't a broken computer).

However, that comparison also highlights just how much you're getting for a mere $120. Premium build, better screen with touchscreen, and more RAM.

Good luck!
