To flavor the soups, brands put too much salt. So, generally watch out.

I'm a little upset I didn't see the comment - "is it the red or the white?" 90s movie buffs will know
I can never remember that! White?

Zero double blind clinical evidence that sodium,,aka salt,,is in any way detrimental to your health in any way.

Its almost as big as the farce as "organic food" - with the exception that if all food was grown "organically" , 90 percent of the worlds population would starve to death.
Please explain to me how you would practically design a double blind clinical trial to investigate the long term impact of sodium on human health. I'll wait.

Agreed. It helps if you pour a half can to a full can over a baked potato; that makes a decent cheap meal and helps balance out the saltiness.

Progresso Clam Chowder is like water.
Yah, I prefer Progresso soup over Campbell. However their Clam Chowder is a huge let down.

Chunky is much thicker BUT something has changed in the recipe. It lacks the robust flavor it used to have. Not like I remember. Progressive is too watery, smaller "pieces" but the flavor was "all right".

You can't, which is the point.

Salt fears like most of the dubious health advice o the past no longer holds up.

I received mine yesterday and can I say it's a lot better than Cambells. Pours out of the can easier without having to scoop the remains with a spoon. Heats up in the microwave with no popping like Cambells. Even taste better to me!

There's still something missing to it because if you look at the ingredients where you'd expect heavy cream it's soy oil.
