For Sea World San Diego, it looks like they have 3 tiers for parking.
General Parking $30
Up-Close Parking $50-60 (depending on date), First 6 rows near the park entrance
VIP Parking $55-85 (depending on date). A reserved spot in the closest parking section near the park entrance

When I bought my passes as a FL resident they checked my ID but they have never checked anything related to my two kids using the preschool pass the last 2 years.

Probably. I'm in Orlando and I usually get this stuff for free from friends. They're very strict, at least at Disney.
