These really need to be 99 cents. Can't believe anyone pays more than few bucks for this.
I like the idea of these and I'm sure they work fine for some people, but it was just not for me. I had 2 major issues with these:

1) wireless charging does not work with the pop socket installed on top of a phone case (even with the pop top removed). I could remove the case and it MIGHT work then, but I'd rather have a case to protect my expensive investment as opposed to a pop socket. Not to mention that when the phone is on a wireless charger with the pop top removed and the phone vibrates, the phone has a tendency to wiggle itself off of the wireless charger.

2) car mount does not hold my phone well anymore with this installed. Again, you can remove the pop top to make it better but it's still not that great.

All in all, there's just too many disadvantages for this little gadget to be worth it for me. And that whole remove the pop top thing is such a hassle and makes it easy to lose.

It's probably worth a try at this price but just pointing out some of the issues based on my experience in case it helps some people.
If you push down and twist, the pop comes off and wireless charging works fine. I do it every night.

What is the difference between these PopSocket ones vs cheaper packs on Amazon, etc?

So you expect a Mercedes at Hyundai pricing eh?
Sorry but this analogy kinda breaks down at the part where the Mercedes is a popsocket

Wireless charging is slow better to go corded plenty of options in a car environment. Also you should buy the pop socket phone holder it slips in easy and no need to take pop socket on an off.
