Fine price for a hoop for people who don't want to play basketball much but want something to shoot around on from time to time or kids learning to play. 44" backboard is really small if it's going to be at 10'. This is the right price for something like this. MSRP is a joke.

Not a fan of this style where the pole comes straight up the front. If your kids are older, they are more likely to get injured.

FYI, reviews indicate a weak board, missing pieces, and low overall quality.

Are you referring to the one for $130 or was that different deal?

I have this and have owned it for about 3 or more years (can't remember). I have changed the net once and that is it. Overall it is perfect for shooting baskets or games in the driveway. It is not going to give you the results of something 5 times the price. I paid about $200 for it. I had no issues unit last night when a gust of wind knocked it over. It landed on the rim and is fine. Probably my fault for not adding water to the base. It has been in plenty of wind and stood strong. Last nights winds in New Jersey were fierce. I will put this thing back up, fill it with more water and continue to use it sporadically. If you have kids and know this will get used on occasion, this is the one for you.

edit: this appears different enough from the 32" version that my info doesn't apply.

That backboard looks sketchy. I had a more expensive Lifetime free standing hoop. It was serviceable, but the backboard suffered from live and dead spots. This looks like it would be worse.

Those were limited time deals... so it won't.
