I signed up for a black friday deal for peacock only to find out they now lock The Office (and tons of other content) behind a higher "tier". To heck with those shenanigans.

I was ok paying $15-20 a month but with all this splintering of content, BS changes (the HBO merger and downgrade to reality shows because of the new CEO), and ads on top of premium membership.?

The people here working to justify torrrenting and bootlegging content are silly.

If it's really a matter of principle for you - don't partake of the product. Don't watch it. Don't listen to it. Unplug from it. That's a choice we all have.

But If you partake of the product without paying the owner of the product in a manner they prescribe and againat their express wishes, you're stealing and are - yourself - a thief.

It's not complicated.

I thought this was Slickdeals... not Slicksteals. Plenty of other places on the interwebs for that sort of nonsense.

FYI - You can watch the NFL Playoff game for free ONLY in KC and Miami markets. The fact that they are running a promotion before the game is actually not half bad. Peacock could have waited until next Monday to run the promotion.

This is the opposite of my experience. I got the Black Friday deal and have access to The Office and other "premium" shows. I just can't download and get ads. Are you possibly logged into the wrong account that's only on the free tier?

Yea, I was interested in setting it up many years ago but it seemed like a pain to setup and thats why I chose to just pay membership for streaming services

But now? Worth my time to look up a tutorial and learn how it works

The locking NFL games into only Peacock was annoying, but doing it to playoff games is just a dick move fueled by greed. I will never pay for Peacock just because of this move. Set the VPN to Kansas City and watch for free on NBC app.
