I signed up for a black friday deal for peacock only to find out they now lock The Office (and tons of other content) behind a higher "tier". To heck with those shenanigans.

Hard pass on any streaming service that has ads, regardless of the price. Shoot, even their top tier still has ads.

Welp, time to buy a couple of hard drives and learn how to torrent then.

I was ok paying $15-20 a month but with all this splintering of content, BS changes (the HBO merger and downgrade to reality shows because of the new CEO), and ads on top of premium membership.?

Y'all did this to yourselves, streaming services

Just fyi. Ads are not that bad like Hulu. 60 seconds max.
That's how it starts, then they add more ads until it's cable tv. Always say no to ads. Don't reward this behavior. They offered this free to Xfinity customers and I refuse to use it.

I don't have AMEX, so I'm not sure if this would work w/ this or not. Possibly $5.99 credit back from AMEX cardholders?

That worked for me. So only $24+ tax.

What about Yellowstone? Is it on the cheaper or premium?

Unless this is a new development, I don't think this is correct. I have the $60 tier specifically to watch EPL but I did recently binge the entire run of The Office. It didn't require a higher tier; even the expanded "super fan" versions of the Office episodes were available. It does have short commercial breaks inserted into the episodes (but not live sports), as others have mentioned.

Honestly the convenience of streaming services took me away from torrenting. But after companies ruined streaming, I'm now back to torrenting

It was just $20 a year last year , inflation made the price go up so I'll pass.

Wait what? So if you buy the 5.99 month plan there is lots of content you can't view unless you pay the higher tier?

With the upcoming NFL playoff games essentially being exclusive to peacock, decent deal if you want to hold onto a sub.
Dont enable the shakedown. Boycott it.

Agreed. How's that a la carte TV working out?

Pretty soon, there will be a company that comes along that offers all these "channels" in a bundle. They'll call it a "package." It'll be the future.

A follow up on my previous comment. I just confirmed that as a Premium ($60 tier) subscriber, I have access to all episodes of The Office. I think the person who said otherwise is experiencing some sort of glitch or is mistaken.

There are plenty of ways to stream a game without having to pay to watch them!!
Their greediness is just going to get worse!

This used to be free through crapcast/xfinity but they don't do that anymore.

Anyway if you use Instacart and a Chase card I'd suggest going through the Instacart+ route as you get Peacock bundled + a lot of benefits and if you qualify you can even get the entire thing for $19/year - https://slickdeals.net/f/17087662-ymmv-1-year-of-instacart-for-19
