Had it been this price during Black Friday, I would have pulled the trigger, but I'm just going to stick it out now and wait for the new phones to come out. These sale prices should have been around months ago.

Yes, and the flash memory won't last as long due to less capacity for wear leveling. If this was the 256 model I'd consider it but I'd rather wait.

If I was in your shoes I would wait for the S24 as well - that being said, this S23 is a great phone and I'm so pleased with it. It will definitely hold its value better than the S22 series as it has no real shortcomings (unlike the battery life issues in the S22).

I've got a pixel 6a and ended up getting a new phone case, phone grip (ohsnap 4) and some Chargie adapters to set a battery charge limit of 80% (the s23 can do this out of the box). I'll keep the phone for at least another year..
