My experience is the exact opposite. After a while, the bits are so hard to pull out that I'll have to use my leatherman. (Think, milwaukee bits, inside clam case)

Mine is in my pocket all day every day, though. It gets used and abused constantly. Opening paint, bashing on stuff, and finally, as a screw/nut driver.

Pro tip that I discovered after putting holes in half of my pants pockets. I rarely used the torx bit, so I removed it and placed it in a safe spot I'll never remember. Then, I placed the screwdriver in my pocket with the missing slot exposed. No more holey pockets.

The ratcheting version is better with longer bits that are more secure

In my experience, the bits fall out of the ends after some time. Maybe just my version, but fwiw.

$11.98 with free delivery turns into $14.97 when you actually select delivery.

Edit: This is one of the situations where you can use any home depot that offers free delivery to get it shipped free regardless of your actual location

Have this. My complaint is it has slack or is sloppy. When you apply pressure it the driver moves in and out. Pet peeves

I have and use both. I use my ratcheting driver for one handed electrical panel work (done that way for safety reasons). But when I'm working installing receptacles where I'm switching from square drive to Phillips every minute, being able to quickly flip the shaft around is nice... Just faster. But the ratcheting is a nice newer tool for Klein.

I agree. The loose rubber grip adds to this effect. I wouldn't use it on anything that requires a lot of force. I still love the screwdriver for simple tasks and it's very convenient.
