fwiw, I got these last time and the lids are brittle AF and cracked within like a week of use. that said...they're cheap, so I guess if you buy with that expectation , it's a fine deal for some reeeeeally temporary containers.

fwiw, I got these last time and the lids are brittle AF and cracked within like a week of use. that said...they're cheap, so I guess if you buy with that expectation [that they won't last long at all], it's a fine deal for some reeeeeally temporary containers.

Same happened to me for one lid, but only after putting in the freezer. Could be due to the smaller size of these lids having the same properties as the larger ones. The lids for larger sizes are shaped exactly the same, but have more flex.

Lid on all these products are not really microwave safe. Don't microwave while closed.

These are basically half a notch up from disposable containers you may get from your take out food containers. In fact, the lids on many take out food containers are much stronger. They still do the job and the lid works fine in microwave. I have saved take out food containers including rectangular ones with the lid, and they are awesome. Even better are relatively new containers with lids attached (closes very tight) that you get from your local food carts. You can't lose the lid with those. It's mind boggling that we are now willing to pay to increase for landfills
