Asics used to be my go to shoe back in the early 2000s. I would put 2,000+ miles on one pair before getting new ones. Now the new ones I buy hurt my feet after 200-300 miles. IDK what happened, whether they use cheaper materials now or what. I've switched to Hokas and they've been the most comfy I've ever had.

I got two pairs last year and the tongue feels extremely uncomfortable for me. Seems to me like when I slide my foot in, the tongue seems to bend inside and put a lot of pressure on top of my foot. Honestly, I hate them.

Super comfy but they tear easily. I can't go a few weeks in Kayanos without getting a hole in them. Their knit shoes are not durable for me. However, the Gel Ventures usually will last a while and regularly go on sale $45-50.

I also dislike Asics shoes. They always seem to give me knee of foot pain.

I have a bunch of Adidas maybe some nike's and Asics.
These Asics are the best i have a few Asics Gel. Just got rid of a pair on which i walked maybe a few million steps. These shoes are the best for walking.

The Kayano's are better value at a higher price. The GT-1000's are the entry level stability shoe. The bottoms run out very fast compared to the higher end models.

Normally, I'd agree, but the uppers on my latest Kayanos did not age well at all - holes all through them.

You're right, they do tear easily especially at the toe, which is why I had to invest in some adhesive toe protector inserts I found on Amazon to make shoes with these soft mesh toes last long enough to be worth the price, even when on sale like this.

Oh there's an idea. I'll have to check that out—thanks. I usually get a hole right by the pinky toe.

Going to give these a shot since they seem discounted.
