So I have had to swear off all deals like this. Really kind of sucks, but have to think of the long term.

It's not. In large amounts or high frequency, it can cause problems for cats due to the mercury and salt content. The same is true for humans, and we don't consider it to be 'really bad' for us. It's fine as a once in a while food for cats, just don't give it to them every day or every other day.
So I have had to swear off all deals like this. Really kind of sucks, but have to think of the long term.
