Singapore Airlines US outbound cities: LAX SEA SFO JFK and IAH

Singapore Airlines' new year specials have select flights to popular destinations advertised as starting from $499 in economy, from $1399 in premium economy or from $3299 in business class. The lowest advertised route is New York to Frankfurt or Houston to Manchester UK. Singapore Airlines is known for their world-class hospitality, free in-flight wifi and meals.

I looked to see if I can provide example dates for the LAX-NRT $599 airfare but couldn't find any. However, the lowest I am seeing is for November at $751. Still a nice price for Singapore Airlines compared to Zipair basic service for $657. You may find something i couldn't based on your travel dates and destination Dontknow

Just checked their fares for eco and premium eco flying out from SFO, the eco tickets are quite competitive whereas the premium eco is still too expensive compare to other airlines
Is it cheap to go from Singapore to Vietnam? I wanted to go from SFO to Singapore then to Vietnam.
Yes. You can get flights for about $100 USD from Singapore to ho chi Minh one way. You can even buy the tickets the the same day and not get gouged on the price.

It can be. Pre-pandemic, I flew SFO to Singapore and then on to Hanoi for a very competitive fare. The problem is the extra distance and time that takes compared to making a connection before you've passed Vietnam.

Flight times are awful for SFO-BKK. To get the cheapest fare, you have to do an overnight layover in SIN there and back. You'd get to Singapore at night and leave in the morning - no time to sightsee really. Not a good deal.

That $499 to Frankfurt airfare is tempting as a jumping off point to a European vacation. However, Frankfurt seems to be in the middle of nowhere. I know the trains are great, but prefer shorter distances.

Everything is so expensive at end of May. I tried going out of SEA, IAH, LAX, or SFO. I even tried going to SIN and SGN. Everything is $1800 or above.

Using the links it looks like there are very select dates for LAX- NRT in Feb and May that you can get for $666 RT

I'm looking at the calendar and in September and Thanksgiving, they're as low as $636 RT for multiple dates and they only charge an extra $50 for weekend dates

Depends on the sale. Pre-2020, the main reason for the cheap fares to Asia were the Mainland Chinese airlines like China Eastern selling tickets at super low prices (less than $500 round-trip for a non-basic economy ticket).

As these airlines are not back in capacity, airfare to Asia is higher. However, if you go during off-peak times, you can still get pretty good deals to Vietnam from the US, especially if you're flying from a major city.
