Singapore Airlines US outbound cities: LAX SEA SFO JFK and IAH
Singapore Airlines' new year specials have select flights to popular destinations advertised as starting from $499 in economy, from $1399 in premium economy or from $3299 in business class. The lowest advertised route is New York to Frankfurt or Houston to Manchester UK. Singapore Airlines is known for their world-class hospitality, free in-flight wifi and meals.
I looked to see if I can provide example dates for the LAX-NRT $599 airfare but couldn't find any. However, the lowest I am seeing is for November at $751. Still a nice price for Singapore Airlines compared to Zipair basic service for $657. You may find something i couldn't based on your travel dates and destination

Everything is so expensive at end of May. I tried going out of SEA, IAH, LAX, or SFO. I even tried going to SIN and SGN. Everything is $1800 or above.
As these airlines are not back in capacity, airfare to Asia is higher. However, if you go during off-peak times, you can still get pretty good deals to Vietnam from the US, especially if you're flying from a major city.
