I was in one around Black Friday. It is touch screen(I just learned it today after reading this thread, thanks OP) and decent quality. Nothing special but good for office use and web browsing, videos etc. I dj too and recordbox, traktor and serato performs well. It was stuck on black screen few times but resetting solved problem. Battery lasts very long comparing to my old HP bought from Costco 2 years ago(1.5 hours HP, over 4 hours Acer, maybe more).

I also bought recently. Mine also died, was able to return. I thought it didn't have a touch screen but just wasn't working most of the time. I still haven't received a refund.
I got this deal back in early December. My touchscreen sometimes goes out. I have to boot to Win11 Safe Mode, then boot to regular mode from Safe Mode to get the touchscreen going again.

I also purchased around black Friday. I noticed slow downs and issues with USB port. I did a fresh install of windows, to get rid of all that bloat mainly. And no more freezes and no USB issues since. I think the Acer software was messing with the Windows drivers if I had to guess. If you have issues, do a fresh install might just help.

LPDDR5 RAM means fully soldered, no slot and not upgradable

LPDDR5 does not mean that but in this case it does coincidentally appear that there is no ram slot.

Technically no, but practically yes.
So far, you could never find a laptop equipped with LPDDR memory working with (removable) SODIMM in the market.

I bought this on the last slickdeal posting. As others have mentioned, I've also noticed that the touchscreen sometimes doesn't work. For me, so far, a normal reboot has always resolved it.

I haven't noticed issues yet with slowdowns or the USB ports. Although, I haven't gotten much use yet out of the USB-A ports - I mostly use the USB-C port.

Fresh install = download Windows from MS and reactivate using the license key ?

The windows digital license key is stored in UFEI, you will get activated automatically for fresh install unless you want to upgrade to different level of Windows OS

I bought 2 of these refurbs off eBay (from Acer) for my business last July for around $330 each. They are working great. I know some people love chromebooks, but when you can get a Windows laptop with more than 8 gb of RAM, and a better-than Celeron processor, for less than $300 ... Choice seems obvious to me.

Amazing specs + touch screen + USB-C charging for sub $300, you just aren't going to find better specs for the price. Redonkulous value.

That being said the build quality is noticeably plastic lol, but there's something so liberating about having a laptop you don't have to baby because you didn't pay $600 for it
