Amex Offers via American Express offers select American Express Cardholders: $5 Statement Credit when you use your eligible card to spend a minimum of $50 towards your Cable and/or Internet Service Provider Bill, up to 4 times (total $20 in credits) by 6/10/2024.

This is a variation on last summer's similar offer. This time you don't have to spend as much (but must do multiple transactions) to get the full $20 credit.

Note: Offer availability will vary by cardholder. Log in to your American Express account to see if the offer is available and then add to card. I'm pleased to report that I got both the last one and this one (Amex offers don't always repeat on the same accounts).

Notes:
  • Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
  • You must use your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $50 in one or more purchases to pay US bill payments for cable and/or internet services made directly with the provider.
  • Limit of 4 statement credits (total $20) per Card Member.
  • Review the offer page for the complete terms and conditions

I have FiOS, with auto-pay via bank debit, but I logged into my account (on web) and followed the instructions to submit a one-time payment and added my Amex as a payment method.

Let us know if your next month's bill goes up by $5 because you used your CC instead of debit.

It doesn't. I did this last year with the other Amex offer. Made a 1-time payment. The auto pay doesn't get turned off. It just pays whatever balance is still due.

I was wrong. It worked last year. But this year a warning appears saying they'll remove the auto- and paper-free billing discounts. It makes no sense, but they do it because they can.
