Tab s9 was like $515 and has an oled screen. The s8 is not worth it at this price.

I'm planning to get s9 ultra... should I get this in the meantime and trade in for s9 ultra when samsung has the sale for s9 ultra w trade in?

Yeah s8+ or ultra might be better option if you're looking for oled

Maybe you should look to see what is available in your area? That was my point.

Right now there is someone trying to sell a S9 around me for $550, you can always offer what you want. That is what I did and 30 minutes later I got a message that he would accept $400 if the deal happened today.
