Ive bought plenty of these (Edit: From Target). They are definitely not resealed. The item itself comes shrink wrapped, then the tins individually have a hard plastic shrink wrap. The packs compared to older packs (sword and shield era) are tightly packed and not loose (ie: like in the Heavy Hitters box).
Packs inside were Paldea Evolved and Scarlet and Violet Base.
8 packs = $2.50 per pack; plus a tin is what makes this a good deal. If you like opening packs at a good price this deal is for you.
How do you find values on cards? My kid just got into these and I have no reliable info. I'm curious when he opens a pack if he's playing with anything of value I should be setting aside.
When oh when will we live in a world where the pulls or lack thereof are not part of a product review? Pull rates should be limited to discussions about a given series.

Sorry but I disagree. Mostly because calculated official pull rates will not be what you get from Amazon product because so much has been opened. And resealed.

I'm seeing a lot of people feeding you websites, apps, whatever. Don't over complicate this with unnecessary apps or other crap.
Go to eBay. Search the card name, filter for sold listings - Tadah. Accurate values. Rinse repeat.

Sure but that's a lot more work than opening an app, scanning the card and getting the price instantly. No filtering needed, no needing to find the correct version of the card, etc… It's not like the app costs any money anyways not sure why you would want to spend 5x the amount of time looking up the value of a card on ebay

I dunno about a lot of effort at all. Pokémon for example type the Pokémon's name then set # in the bottom right (ex:10/102) or whatever then search. Duplicate accordingly takes what maybe 30 seconds? In my experience at least the pricing on 3rd party apps are quite inaccurate at times. Backup is just checking tcg player
These are sealed products, direct from Target, not a reseller going through Target or anything. If you think Target is opening Pokemon packs, looking for hits, and resealing both the packs and the tins, you're being absurdly paranoid.

An app takes like 5 seconds. When you're doing a lot of cards it really speeds things up. And the prices are usually pulled from TCG Player anyways so not sure why they would be inaccurate. Just don't see the point in making things harder for yourself than necessary, especially when the tools to help you check the prices are free
Is this a starter pack? With say instructions on how to play the game? If not, what would the community recommend? Apparently, my gf actually knew how to play the game when she was a kid. I only collected the cards. We thought it would be a fun together activity.
