I used a black Nite Ize S-biner for my keys and after 3 years, the black paint was so scratched up, it looked awful. I still liked the product so I bought it in unpainted stainless and have been using it for over 4 years now and it still looks great. This is a decent deal but if it were me, I'd spend the extra 75cents and get the stainless one.

I found these for relatively cheap at menards, in packs of N and differently sized. Nothing against this post in the slightest, but I never knew how much I appreciated these until I happened upon them. I don't like carrying a lot of keys, so I have sets that I clip on/off as needed, AND they are very handy for cycling to clip my keys on to a loop in my saddle bag.
Although I feel like in the pants photo, this guy should daisy chain in a pager.
these suck! used these when traveling abroad before to connect light accessories like hats and microfiber towels, and Airbnb keys etc. I have a few of these types, and although this one is technically a keychain, I find that the depth is too little and spring is to weak and often gets bumped loose of the loop. there are better or generic carabineers on Amazon for a few bucks more. just my 2c.
I used this for dog leash with some success. Dog is only 16 pounds, but the slide locks were lost almost immediately. I got them for this price at Sierra Trading Post.
FYI 25lbs rating.
Was thinking of using it with a dog leash, but it appears my doggo is too big for it.
I use one to connect my dog's collar to his leash for over five years without any issues. My dog has pulled with so much force that he has broken collars and bent metal d-rings. So much so that I started making his collars out of paracord. I also use an oval steel quick link in lieu of a d-ring. I connect his leash (which was constructed using a static climbing rope with a figure-8 knot on a bight on each end) to his collar using this exact Nite IZE S-biner.

I use a hiking carabiner for my work keys and I am really struggling to think of an advantage of this product. Genuine question, am I missing something?

May I ask, is he a constant puller? Regular collars put a lot of pressure on the trachea, please consider training, a harness, or a prong collar if that is the case.
My two GSD are pullers, training with a prong collar has worked pretty well for us.
