Not to mention the ultimate tax--lining Intuit's pockets so they can then lobby the government to keep them in business.
Other than income tax itself, nothing boils my blood like paying sales tax on an item I use to help me pay the government taxes. Just infuriating.
Amazon has it for $44.99, so does that make this the lowest for Deluxe ?

For comparison, Costco has the same product for $45 but they are giving $10 credit towards In-Product Add-Ons, so if one has to buy state e-file then Costco may turn out lower

Disclaimer from Costco:
$10 credit for in-product add-on: Limited to one credit per license code and applies to first in-product add-on purchase only. Cannot be applied to TurboTax Online or TurboTax Live products and services. The $10 credit will automatically be applied to your first add on feature or service. No promotional codes needed. This credit is only valid for products purchased in-store or online at Costco. $10 credit has no cash value and will not be refunded if not used or if the product is returned. Offer valid for Tax Year 2023 TurboTax Desktop products only and expires October 31, 2024.

Does deluxe cover you if you have a handful of stock trades throughout the year? Not a retirement account, just regular, taxable brokerage account with maybe 6-10 trades in 20203.

At the end of Dec. this item was $45, but came with a $10 Amazon gift card, in effect making the price $35.

Anyone know how this works with the online version? Does it just download the info from it? And then you have to do the taxes off line, then it needs to download updates that the online one already has. It seems there's never deals on the online version.

Last year, in April, I bought a combo deal at Best Buy - Turbo Tax Deluxe 2022 and Quicken Deluxe 1 year subscription for a total of $72 (after $20 off for buying the combo).
So, I think I'll be holding off a little while longer...

Every year, there is always a deal around December 26-29. This is the best deal of the year and includes a $10 amazon gift card. I suggest setting a deal alert next year so you won't miss it. The deal only lasts 24 hours.

I have used TurboTax online for years. It costs me way more than this to file. Does this code work for the online filing discount as well?

I hate the crap Intuit does lobbying to keep raking in the money. But I tried H&R Block last year and really didn't like it. TT just felt a lot easier to use. Guess I'm in for this again.
