I believe it gets unlocked after 60 days on any plan but I am not sure 100%, however, you won't be able to get it for $99 + any plan. It would be $149 + any plan. Also I believe you can only get the deal by transfering your own number.

What's the lowest on that and it says I can't transfer any Tracfone "family" of carriers so I assume Verizon prepaid non-total number or xfinity mobile may not be transferrable as well?

you can downgrade the plan for second month if you want to stay them...
*Given the plan price and all taxes involved you're looking at around $200+ for this phone deal to get it unlocked for 60 days after all said and done.

You don't need to keep the phone activated the 2nd month. It will still unlock after 60 days.
So it's $99+$50 for the plan+tax. Don't renew the plan, keep the phone in the drawer for the 2nd month. After 60 days, turn the phone on, it'll be unlocked. But keep the original SIM in it the whole time.
I'm not an Iphone person but I really like the size of this phone and the standby battery life is pretty good. I carry two phones so this one is perfect for my secondary line.

It is prepaid, if you don't pay second month, your service would stopped after first month.
the phone would still be eligible to get unlocked after 60 days..
you can transfer to TracFone, just call or chat with TracFone for "re-brand"
