Most if not all of these are not sale prices, they're standard everyday prices you can get in the warehouse. Not a "slickdeal" by any stretch of the imagination.

For Dominos, get it from Sam's, $100 gc for $75.

$80 for $100 worth of movie tickets seems pretty great…I haven't seen anything better regarding Fandango on here personally. AMC deals are seemingly too rare these days

You cannot charge sales tax on gift cards or gift certificates, as they are the equivalent of money to the customer.. If a store is doing them you need to report them to your state tax authority. Which Sam's Club is doing this?

There is no law per say, saying you can't it s a store policy and up to the stores. I won't go into the massive detail but a gift card from an accounting standpoint is listed as a liability on the books. It isn't money but a promise to exchange for goods and/or service. (From the viewpoint of the company named on the card. For the customer who bought it, it IS a cash equivalent - see it's getting complicated already)

This is about anti-money laundering policies and when these liabilities are examined by state tax authorities and the IRS they are closely scrutinized to check to see if the company may be aiding or abetting in money laundering, even if unintentional.

It is simply easier and preferable to avoid such scrutiny by having a policy which doesn't allow the possibility in the first place.

This is for the USA only.

Agreed. $75 worth of subway for $65 is substantially worse than the very recent $60 price for example. These prices are nothing special that I see.

I order Chuck E. Cheese e gift cards through Costco a few years ago and didn't get a chance to use because of Covid. I opened the email with the gift card and the provider was https://ticketops.com/lander. is no longer active. Anyone know if the newer gift cards are with a different site?
