Great price, but in my opinion, too "herby". After I doctor it up with other veggies and a little meat it's OK, but then it's just a soup starter, and not a good one since I don't care for the broth. I think their creamy soups are better.

I think that is pretty much any powdered soup. They are often like 50%+ of ones daily sodium. Many other processed foods as well including bullion. Surely not healthy as every day but decent in a pinch or as emergency rations.
I keep these soups around, as others have said "as a soup starter" add twice as much water and extra veggies / meat. Use them like once every other month on a cold day or sick day where a large pot of soup is nice.
It is crazy salty if you don't water it down.
what kind of extra veggies do you add? Maybe just a bag of mixed veg would be good. I bought one. I thought it could be good for meal prep, like make a big pot and use it throughout the week
It's dry soup mix. Soup without salt is nasty. You dilute it with 8 CUPS OF WATER.
It's the perfect amount of salt if you add fresh veggies while cooking. If you have time just let it cook on low after it boils and the salt will add flavor to the fresh veggies and it will make you feel even fuller.
It's salty because if you've been hiking all day you've probably been sweating and have lost a lot of sodium. Ever wonder why Gatorade has a high salt content?
