Part of me really wanted half of those sockets to be 10mm
While I would second this is almost okay to have in the car for emergency needs, I would highly recommend looking at different versions of these tools. That all in one Allen key tool might work for some things, but will be useless half the time due to a lot of hex bits being in a place where Allen keys shaped like an L would barely fit. The open ended wrenches can round off a bolt when you least need them to, but for little stuff are just fine. The stuff I'm nitpicking here is kinda minor but if you want to count on this thing on the side of the road the difference in cost for more application focused equipment will always be cheaper than a tow or a shop labor.

That 3/8" drive ratchet would work but from my experience I dropped one of this style on concrete and it literally fell apart. You would also need some extensions, and a magnetic socket for spark plugs with a short swivel extension (those with GM V8s will appreciate this) would be a fantastic addition to this set.

Harbor freight has the little compact ratchet and bit set at $40, but is absolutely amazing for a trunk bit set at $30 with the occasional 25% off hand tool coupons. I have one in all of my cars and one for the garage.

If you can wait, Harbor Freight is coming out with a slightly larger version of the ratchet and bit set that will include 1/4" sockets and a driver with it. Suppose to release spring/summer 2024 and I can't wait to take a look in person. It should contain about ~60% of this set minus the open end wrenches, crescent wrench, and vice grips.

This set would be good for those with nothing in their trunk and you tested to see you can access most bolts with the tools provided. Will likely get the most value out of the socket set and vice grips.

If truly wanting to get this, I'd recommend adding a 3/8" swivel adapter, one 3" extension and one 6" extension. Some people will have E-torx bolts on their car like GM vehicles, so like E10 and E12 sockets would be handy to have as well. A mid-grade brand pair of needle nose pliers will also really improve this set. Doesn't have to be fancy, but the cheapos at Walmart and harbor freight will rust over time and not be very cooperative.

I love these kits and have one in every vehicle. They have everything you need for 99% of car repairs. Perfect thing to have in your trunk for an emergency.

I had this set, or something very similar for my motorcycle many years ago. It is handy for fixing something on the road when you are away from home. But I would not want it for routine maintenance. I probably still have most of the tools, but they are scattered in amongst everything else these days.

This was $5 at my local WM. I even snagged one with a missing 10mm and spark gap tool for $2.50.

And still wouldn't be able to find one the first time you go and use it.
