I've ordered photos from Walgreens and CVS, it seems Walgreens has better quality photo prints even though they both use dye-sub printing

I've had better luck with CVS, but I doubt there's a big difference between the two, and it probably varies from location to location. The last 8x10 I got from Walgreens was cut off at the top, despite the online photo uploader thing showing it would fit perfectly in frame.

Also if I recall, I think both Walgreens and CVS will give you lower quality by default, and you have to select an option for higher quality in the online uploader (they make the option kind of hard to find, no extra charge)

walgreens by far, cvs stock is like home printer paper. but free is free at both so beggars can't be choosers

I wonder if they'll ever fix the app. Whenever I try to upload a photo from it, the app hangs and eventually crashes. I have to use a computer to upload a picture.

What is the higher quality option? I did CVS a while back and only saw an option for glossy or matte.

when you go to upload the photos, before you select them there's a sneaky little link in the bottom right corner that says "upload preferences" and you choose "original resolution"
