I put 3 AAs in an exercise bike where I know fully charged Eneloops will last about 2 months. When using these, I get about 3-4 weeks of use; when I checked the voltage of these batteries, 1 is "in the red" or about .9v or lower while the others were still 1.2v. This has happened almost every time rotating through a pack of 16, where 1 battery seemingly drains much quicker than the others. Switching back to Eneloops, there was no problem and all battery cells drained evenly and gave me 2+ months of use.
Now, I just relegate the Amazon rechargeable batteries to kids toys, where I know I won't care as much if they get lost/tossed, and keep any made in Japan cells for my own devices.
