Great coffee. Question is how fresh the bag Amazon ships is.

Last deal, just a few days ago, with Kicking Horse coffee - expiration day was 3/1/24. Learnt to stay away.

Isn't the 30% discount only for subscribe and save?

Based on relevant reviews and what seems to be obviously likely, a couple months old.

Amazon been doing some shady stuff...shipping expired or close to being expired food items and now not accepting returns

Didn't seem like it but I just did S&S. It's an easy cancel later

What's this about not accepting returns? If it says free returns then there's free returns.

Every Kicking Horse I've tried, including the "medium roast" options, have tasted burnt. Is there one you'd recommend?

Kicking Horse is all just bad...I've had the same experience with the "burnt" taste.

Amazon no longer accepts returns on food goods. It doesn't say with subscribe and save, but if you select one-time purchase in the refunds category it says this - "This item is non-returnable due to potential safety risk associated with this ingestible product type, but if the item arrives damaged or defective, you may request a refund or replacement."

If it comes expired or damaged you may request a refund, but it's a bit of a pain. You need to go through the chat bot who will tell you a few times you cannot return it, as for more help then talk to an agent via chat or a phone call. They're usually pretty quick to offer a "One time refund" but I'm always concerned about their use of the term "one time". Over the past year or two I've had a few things come expired, opened, or just plain nasty looked (most recently dark brown mayonnaise) and it's always been resolved.

Agreed, I tried two from kicking horse and it had to be some of the worst coffee I've tasted in quite some time. No flavor notes other than burnt. I really enjoy Mt. Comfort Coffee for coffee and especially for espresso.

For really good beans light-medium roast is preferred. Don't really understand why people like dark or french roast.
