I spent my Sunday afternoon watching YT reviews about GoPro 11/12, Insta360 stuff and DJI Action 4. Also asked around from coworkers who own these cameras. They are all casual users btw.
Decided to pass on GoPro due to mediocre feedback I heard. They all faced issues here and there, crashing and battery life etc. And then the lack of usable night shooting capability and magnetic mount. Liked the gimmicks and the performance of Insta360 Ace Pro but worried about its reliability (being a newer brand) and is more expensive. DJI Action 4 fits the bill due to recent drop of $100 and what's better is this DJI Refurb unit with another $60 off. You would enjoy the same warranty from DJI and if you like peace of mind you can spend $36 on a 2-year DJI care for accidental breakdowns, using the $60 saved from buying refurbished. I ordered it. Price is 40% off of MSRP, unbeatable for a barely 6-month old product from DJI

Insta360 has been around for 10 years (2014), they aren't brand new - they've done like 3 versions of the Go, 3 of the X2, etc.
And calling features "gimmicks"
And saying the Leica lens is just a badge for people to feel good?

Anyone?
Also, it's now showing the standard camera set at $325 too.

I worked around it by going incognito and logging in afterwards, once sale was complete. As I had never ordered directly from DJI, and even though I have multiple items sold by them, they not only did not have my address BUT it would not let me add my address until I placed an order.
Kind of a Catch-22 situation...
By being new. I wonder how / if they have established solid US based customer service team to handle product issues, like how warranty will work out if you need it.
I heard the lens protector is not removable. If you break the lens protector by dropping it, you likely break the lens.
Less waterproof spec, 10M vs 18M for DJI.
About 35 grams heavier than DJI.
Advertised battery life is shorter than DJI, 100min vs 160min, although DJI notes their time is tested with 1080P but Ace Pro was tested with 4K, so this one might not mean anything
Pricey, 450 since it's new, no sale yet.
Pro:
Higher resolution supported
Leica badge on the lens, not sure if that means much, maybe makes you feel good?
Good AI chips that can utilize the bigger CMOS and improve image quality. Can view some comparison clips with DJI on YT.
Gimmicks like gesture control.
I mean even at 299 new, DJI Action is a no brainer between the two, let alone this at 239. There are no deal breakers in terms of what DJI doesn't have and what Ace Pro does.

Ace pro is the superior camera.
1. Video stability (maybe my settings are wrong?)
2. Importing to macOS you need the Photos app to import. The SD card just won't mount. You have to remove it and use a card reader.
DJI pocket 3 solved this for me. I suppose the action 4 will function the same? DJI pocket 3 performs better in low light than my GoPro 11
Been happier with DJI cameras over GoPro lately
