They are a bit stale and lose some flavor if you open them but don't eat them in the first year. That said, even old these are better than tide pods, like the difference between a good filet and a sirloin.
You're wasting a whole lot of money doing 2 pods per wash

I'm not a big fan of this stuff. Bought it the last time it got posted on sale. I'm getting a decent amount of dishes that need to be rewashed. The pods seem smaller than that other brand we all know

How does this compare cleaning wise to Cascade Platinum? (don't care about price, just cleaning power). I put a pod in the main dispenser, and a pod in the pre-wash side of dispenser.

I've used Finish Quantum before (not as good as Cascade Platinum), but haven't used the Finish Ultimate.

Thanks OP, was getting low on the Cascade Platinum we were using, and new to this whole having a dishwasher thing. We will give these a try and not have to go into Walmart Smilie

Way too expensive. Get yourself some powdered detergent. The Walmart brand one works better than any pods, from our old to our new dishwasher. Powdered detergent Cleans just as good and generally better as you can put some in for the prewash. I don't care what they try to claim, all dishwashers do a prewash and all pre-washes benefit from a small amount of detergent separate from the main.

$5 Great Value Automatic Dishwasher Powder, Original Scent, 75 oz https://www.walmart.com/ip/866649026

Really Good vid On why dishwashers need prewash detergent and issues pods create (his vids are very interesting other topics as well): https://youtu.be/_rBO8neWw04?si=f2YhKVGjNTEyfsl5

Not me.

I rinse dishes in the sink before loading, put a pod in the main compartment, put a pod in the pre-wash compartment, rinse-aid in the rinse compartment, and run the kitchen faucet on hot until piping hot water running, so the dishwasher is filling with hot water when turned on.

Heck, I even used to put a 1/4 teaspoon of Phosphate in the main compartment. But stopped doing that recently.

Been using target brand pods. Works like a charm but also some rinse aid. I think the rinse aid matters more than the detergent itself.

I used to use this on our LG dishwasher with Finish Jet Dry and it worked well. Cleaning power, residue, etc. We have a Frigidaire dishwasher now that specifically says use Cascade products. We kept used our existing stock of Finish products and it kept leaving a film on the glass. We started using Cascade Platinum Plus and no longer have issues. It washes clean. I would have never thought there was a difference between machine and soap brand. Maybe its something else but it definitely makes a difference in our new machine.
