If you don't care about having a 4 or 5 extended warranty and have access to the LG Partner store through work they have the LG OLED C3 77 inch for $2069.99 and it includes free mounting service.

Might be able to get $82.80 back on this with AmEx offers. I can see an lg.com offer in my account at least:

"Get 4% back as a statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make purchases online at lg.com by 2/29/2024. Limit of $250 back in total statement credits. See terms."
Not going to get into which is better as it's been discussed ad nauseam. Question is which is better for you? Pros/cons for both. I will say that MY personal preference is LG because 4k movies with a physical disk is best with LG as it has Dolby Vision.

LG's warranty is OLED77C3PUA
Manufacturer's Limited Warranty Summary
Period of Coverage
Labor : 1 Year
Parts : 1 Year

Really what's peace of mind worth to you? Is it worth the additional amount? The other thing that you didn't mention is that if you purchase from LG partners, mounting is free. Is that something you want or need? You can also purchase the extended warranty directly from LG.
I need the 77G3 to come down to $2200

I think my time machine worked! Oled C33 is on sale! Although I'd have expected more from the future...

Rough crowd. I didn't bite but appreciate your efforts. It's a decent deal, especially for those who do not or can not mount the tv onto the wall themselves.

Sadly, it's showing as out of stock whenever I try adding it to my cart. It would've been a heck of a deal to get in on.

Edit: It's the wall mount that's out of stock which seemed to be preventing me from checking out.

Samsung EPP for 77 in S90C which is QD-OLED is the same price, thats a much better deal right? Especially considering you get a 2 year warranty free just by asking the live chat for the code?

What does the LG standard warranty cover, and what is the warranty duration?

Not sure whether to buy C3 77 from LG for $2069 or $2300 from Costco with 5 year warranty

Most Credit cards will give you an extra year warranty if if the warranty is under 3 years.. So technically what you could do is buy this for $2069, add the extra 2 year warranty from LG for $179. Plus your credit card warranty, so that gives you 4 years total. Then if you use the Amex offer someone mentioned before that knocks about $90 off. So you are looking at about $2158, with a 4 year warranty and free mounting.

FWIW you'll want to check the wording on the credit card coverage.

In most cases I expect it'll work as you suggest, though I vaguely recall the occasional card that had working about running concurrent and secondary to any extended warranty you otherwise had.

Other note- there's still a few Citi cards that add 2 years, rather than just 1, of free extended warranty- though they're much less common than they used to be.

Thinking of going with COSTCO - 4% Executive Membership + Citibank Card, discount, the price goes down to $2208 plus taxes. Five-year warranty plus Costco's return policy makes it a better choice.

Waiting for two events
  1. Starting 1/31: LG 75-inch LED goes on sale at $599, combine that $100 Costco direct discount lowers the price to $499 (second TV)
  2. In Dec, COSTCO had a $200 Visa card offer on this TV (along with the promotion price). Anticipating, that offer to come back in a week's time.

I used a Yahoo email since they have a partnership with them. They gave me the opportunity to make 7 purchases under that one email.
