Yeah it's silly that 20+ year old games run at half the framerate. There's really no excuse
what did you expect? Konami just copy and pasted the code. No enhancement whatsoever. Kojima would probably would have made a custom version for the switch and takes 2 years just to ship it and still be not happy about it. But at least it would have been a quality product
From what I'm reading from the Amazon reviews, it seems like MGS1-3 aren't even on the cartridge. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
None of the games are on the cartridge. 1-3 needs to be downloaded. I ended up selling my switch version on offerup and bought the PS5 version instead which has the full games on the disc.

Is it like a digital code in the box? I'm assuming not since you were able to sell it. So the cartridge itself acts like an activation key of sorts?

Not digital code. You need to have the MGS cartridge inserted in order to have the full game downloaded to your switch. No need to download all three games right away. Download MGS1 first and when you try to play it will check to see if you have the MGS cartridge inserted. It will ask you to insert the MGS cartridge if you have a different game cartridge inserted. Basically the catridge acts as a license activation key.

Whoa it's even bigger surprise 😯 I wasn't aware
Am definitely sticking to my ps Vita and ps3 legacy hd editions, don'tendo
A lot is not on cartridge with this one. I'd rather get the ps5 version out stick to my ps3 copy since the HD revisions of this was based on that.
Ps3 ver. had pressure sensitive buttons making it og experience like on PS2 and color gamma looks better that ps5 ver. Resolution wasn't increased in ps5 release

Edit: I would buy the digital version for $12, the "physical" edition of this is a pointless unnecessary hassle
