I don't know, but it's stupid. Might serve to confuse some lesser informed people who may think that it may only be compatible with the OLED model. In fact it happened to me shopping last week -- some lady saw me looking at the Switch games and inquired whether a game would work with her Switch. I'm like yeah, all the games will work on all models (with the notable exception of those silly Labo kits Nintendo put out at one point in time of course).
