B550M Pro Wifi + Forge 100R Mid-Tower Case - $120 [msi.com]
Optionally, add the 5700G for an additional $145
make for a good upgrade for my htpc setup? My current setup is like 12yrs old, but does house a evga 1060 gpu and a newer 600w psu already. I should be able to just swap over my gpu, psu, hdd and be up and running, right?
Better deals out there for upgrading a htpc setup (only used to stream 4k movies with madvr tone mapping on a projector)?

The CPU should include a cooler. The case has two front fans and one rear exhaust fan. I think that's a good baseline to start with (I like to add two exhaust fans in the top if a case supports it).
