Why would it code as a cash advance? It's a Costco transaction, not us mint or bullion dealer website.

So, unless somebody has reported that their transaction *has* been treated as a cash advance, the answer to your question is *all of them*

Why would it get treated as a cash advance? You're buying a product from costco, not doing a cash advance.

$45 above spot. My LC dealer pays $40 below for this. Close to spot for Pamp.

Too funny 45% of voters on this deal said it's not a good price. I'd love to know of a better price Big Grin

Never tried. Usually around $40 to $60 above for random bars like Valcambi.

Agreed. But most Northern California dealers offer similar buyback prices.

Is there a Sales Tax your LC dealer charges? I am seeing tax @ 6.6% for New Jersey during checkout.

Love how everyone compares this purchase to spot pricing when no other retailer sells for spot. They will also charge you an added fee on top of their higher spot premium to use a CC;.

Here, there is a lower premium, no added CC charge and most cards offer a percentage back which can bring this deal to well under spot.

Not sure why people think it's not a good deal just because they can't sell it for more right away. it's a good deal because it's cheaper than everywhere else in the market.

You are right but your assumption is gold price will keep on going up. most people buy these to sell rightaway and if that transaction does not make any money , it is not a good deal. Saving gold right now may not be a good idea too..
