Currently reading for the first time. So far it's been a very entertaining book. I've read some of Sanderson's other books and he's proved to be a great fantasy writer! Definitely worth this price.

This. I bought this last time it was on sale and am now about 12 Sanderson books in. Everything (almost)is connected. The fifth book in this series comes out this year. There's so much good stuff. Journey before destination.

After the fifth book comes out he's supposedly taking a very long break from the series before staring on the next 5. It could be 2050 before these are all done.

This is misleading. Kal is DEFINITELY one of three main characters. He has as much page time in books 3 & 4 as any of the others. The nephew you're referring to, -Adolin, is one of SANDERSON's best characters period. There has just been a wider scope applied to this series as it grows. Kal is very much still the Main main character.

Ereader IQ says the all time low ON KINDLE was $3. Idk about any other ebook service since I only read on a Kindle.

$4 is worth it still

I had this problem too. I only made it half way through book 3 and just quit at that point.

Up to this, I read everything Sanderson put out but maybe it's not for me anymore.
