They are both 27in., 1440p, and 165hz, but the LG is an IPS panel and the Acer is VA. The LG model is superior with IPS, which generally provides faster response times and less smearing compared to VA.

I called Dell and s3nt them the link from amazon, they agreed with $230+tax. Then I used AX card with $40 off. Total is $210.15.

This is cheaper but colors and brightness (LG: 300 cd/m² vs Dell: 400 cd/m²) are not quite as good. This LG has excellent color accuracy but the Dell is likely a little better. Rtings has a review of the next model up of this monitor but the Dell has better color than even that one.

If you can deal with the rear placement of the control buttons, I'd probably spend the extra $30 for the Dell monitor.

Where are the screen adjustment buttons? I couldn't do the Dell deal due to the rear buttons (for my setup lower or front lower bezel works best..)

I can't tell looking at the pictures.

Since it is Costco I pulled the trigger. I am updating from an older Dell 1440 144hz TN panel. I have 90 days to decide if I like it enough.

Hmmm it says 1ms GtG response time but I can't confirm if it's LG's nano-IPS or not. If it is, that's quite a bit cheaper, if not then it's a bit meh...

So is the LG worth the $20 more than this Acer?
https://slickdeals.net/f/17247622-169-99-acer-sh272u-ebmiphux-27-wqhd-2560-x-1440-home-office-ultra-thin-monitor

I'm looking for primarily a work monitor, so the gaming aspect aren't as important to me.
