Nice deal, but no touchscreen (a must in my case).

This is a good deal. I have a very similar model. The only downside on these, in my experience, is that the memory card slot doesn't allow the memory card to be fully inserted and left in all the time. I goes in half way and sticks out so you really can't just leave it in while carrying it around or throwing it in a backpack, etc.

Yes the SD card slot. Sorry I didn't clarify. Many laptops I've had let you fully insert the SD card but I don't think this model allows that, which may be fine for many folks.

I wonder if one of these (or various other sizes) would work for you? I have them in my MacBook Pro and an older Air, and I love them!

Capable CPU, before COVID, we can get a laptop with dedicated GPU for this price. I remember getting a i5 8400h with 1050 for $479.

I don't know anything about tinkercad demands/requirements, but the Lenovo is my preference because of backlit keyboard & fingerprint reader, both of which I like.

Hardware that works well with Tinkercad:

Most computers and laptops purchased within the last 6 years should work well with Tinkercad. There is one strict requirement that the graphics card supports webGL. WebGL enables working in 3D in the browser.

Not a bad deal but it looks like RAM is not upgradeable (16GB fully soldered, no SODIMM slot)

Decent laptop for internet and office use. Used a IdeaPad 3 with 5500U and a non-1080 screen, which ran pretty good. This has a better screen and a faster CPU. Can probably also run some games decently on mid settings.

You're confusing two different types of laptops, normal consumer laptops with gaming Laptops. Cheaper gaming laptops with Core i5/Ryzen 5 H series Processors and RTX 3050 GPU are still available during deals around $440-$600 marks regularly.
