Damn good deal for an 83". It shares the name with the S90C, but it's using an LG WOLED panel.

.gov or edu won't work for this deal. You need to have access to EPP to get the pricing op has mentioned. I can create an epp account for you. Trading $5 amazon. Dm if interested.

Thank you. I have a similar set up with high ceilings so this helps alot. Had been very confused between this and the 77 inch. I want the big size but didn't want to have a horrible picture quality. This will be the first time I will be having an oled so I don't know what to expect.
Horrible picture quality? Are you crazy?

There are among the best rated TVs. This will beat almost every other TV in picture quality. Top of the line LEDs are brighter, but that only matters if you watch TV in room brightly lit with sunlight. OLEDs wins almost every other category in picture quality like contrast, black level etc.

The differences between these panels are almost invisible and you won't even notice them without a side by side comparison and then peek at specific areas with a microscope.

But the best LED is still behind by half a point. If you are comparing against a mid level LED current OLEDs are around 20-25% better.

Thank you. As I mentioned I don't have a great idea about the PQ differences between these panels. But it is good to know that I will be getting a better quality than the LEDs and may be comparable to other OLEDs like C3. It's just that so many people complained about this having much inferior quality compared to the 77 inch version.

77 is qd-oled which compares well with LG G3. But 83" uses woled panel which is made by LG and used in c3 series.
G3 uses MLA technology on top of C3 (and other minor improvements) for more color and brightness.

If you want size, get the 83". It uses the same panel as every other 83" OLEDs that we ads comparing ( C3,G3,S90).

I did not not buy 83'' since it is not qd-oled and I liked qd-oled vs G3 side by side. They are almost the same each have its pros and cons. I like more color vs brighter whites.

You can see 83" C3 and G3 at bestbuy and compare with other LED TVs. Unless you know what you are looking for the higher end TVs will all look equally amazing. If you look at mid or entry level you will clearly see the differences in picture quality.

Not sure what you mean by "back". It's not an official promo per se. Do you mean Samsung reps are no longer offering 10% over chat?

Yup! I would still choose Qn95 over this. Either way, both excellent, but if if qn85c, IMO better than OLED. Give me flagship Mini-led over OLED anyday....
Where is the QN95C available?

You're right. But after too much research I ended up with this one and couldn't be happier from my 77" CX.

Dolby vision isn't where it needs to be yet, per the expert tv testers on YouTube. And I prioritized the size with the woled…it's incredibly bright the colors pop and I figured unless I really had the tv's side by side I would never know the difference.
It ultimately depends on how Dolby Vision is implemented. Some TV's struggle to display it properly. I've watched content in HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, I couldn't tell the difference. I know you'll enjoy the S90C 83". Next you'll want the 97" OLED, haha.

Where is the QN95C available?
I have the QN95C 85" due to a warranty accomodation, but it was briefly available at Samsung.con. It hasn't been in stock for a while. I honestly believe Samsung didn't make too many QN95C units as they were limited to custom AV integrators, and some stores included Walmart, Value Electronics, and QVC. You'll probably want to look at the QN95D that releases this year. Hopefully it has better availability than the QN95C.

It was available on samsung.com for few weeks back in December, prior to that it was summer for what seemed a few days only. I was supposed to get one also as replacement for Qn95b, but they were OOS of C around October. Samsung issued a refund instead. Ordered the S90C 77" and Sony X95K 85". While S90C was beautiful, having the rare chance of BOTH sets in my living room side by side, the Sony definitely had the edge..

As someone in this thread stated, unless you see high end TV side by side, youll be happy with any of them. I wonder how S95C would've compared with X95K in my room, but won't ever find out.

I wholeheartedly believe the Sony X95L is the better TV when it comes to picture quality, motion handling, and upscaling. My wife and I watch all of our content through our Apple TV 4K 128GB, and we haven't tested the native upscaling of the QN95C. It sucks that the X95L is limited to 85" in the US because most stores don't carry it. You'll have to go through Sony directly or buy it from a specialty store like Value Electronics or Amazon. Most reviewers rated the X95L as the best Mini LED of 2023. I don't know if that's due to Sony's reputation or for the fact that most people couldn't get their hands on the QN95C.

I previously went with the QN90B 85" because it was the cheapest quality 85" Mini LED at the time, and it had 4x HDMI 2.1 ports. I previously had issues with HDMI 2.1 passthrough with my Denon AVR-S970H so I always want my TVs to have four HDMI 2.1 ports. That may not be important to everyone, but it's important to my wife and I as we have a gaming PC, XSX, and PS5. We also have our Nintendo Switch routed through our receiver. I didn't consider the Sony because it didn't have the 4x HDMI 2.1 ports. Sadly my QN90B developed a yellow band on the left hand side of the panel. Samsung couldn't get a replacement panel so they offered an accommodation for the QN95C 85" as a replacement. I gladly accepted the offer. It's been amazing with its 4K144Hz, HDR, and VRR support on each HDMI 2.1 port. The HDR highlights are bright and impactful. The black levels are phenomenal as well. I hardly notice any blooming. I won't be upgrading that TV for a long time.

Lastly, you'll want to avoid the S95C due to it's troublesome One Connect Box. Samsung is swapping my S95C 65" due to those dropout issues. The tech arrived for the appointment, and he didn't have all of the parts to replace the One Connect Box. He wanted to swap the main board of the TV, the One Connect Cable, and the One Connect Box internals. Mind you, I barely had the TV for two weeks. I also have the S95B 65", and I never had any issues with it. So yeah, I love/hate the S95C due to the One Connect Box. I don't think the brightness difference and One Connect Box are worth the premium over the S90C.

The rational part of my brain is telling myself that my 75" Sony 950G is only 4 years old…I don't need to upgrade and don't know what I'd do with my current TV. And I like DV.

And yet I'm so damn close to pulling the trigger here. Gonna read some comments in the hopes I'll see something that talks me out of it.

I'd go for it. The quality jump from a full array local dimming to an OLED is a night and day difference. I initially went from the XBR65X930C (2015) to the Sony A8H 65", and I couldn't believe the colors and contrast. You could always move the Sony 950G 75" to another room, sell it, or give it away. TV's don't hold their resale value. I recently sold my A80J 65" OLED from 2021 for $800. That TV was sitting in the box for several months because I upgraded to the S95C 65". If you have the funds to swing it, I'd go for it.
